Our Non-Profit Organisation, Hlanganani Orphan Care, was established in 2008 operating from our property in North Riding.
Our orphan care is effective in Diepsloot, Cosmo City and Lanseria. At the moment we care for 50 children who have lost both mother and father (ages 2 to 20 … if they are still at school) who remain in their own family environments but have extra support from us to enable a more stable upbringing. This helps to increase the possibility of achieving their full potential.
Uplifting the community that helps in the upbringing of these children, is our goal.
In the past, with Northriding having such beautiful open surroundings, we have been able to put tents an ablutions up and have an annual year-end camp for our children. Local Northriding residents and celebrities have participated, mentored, and have helped, making this such an awesome time for the children.
This year, unfortunately, COVID has put a stop to this year’s annual year-end camp but as it happens, our property was used for the food, clothing donations and Santa Shoeboxes which we have distributed to our children. This helped to put a happy ending to a stressful year for all.
